Looking at and enjoying art is a stimulating and satisfying way to be engaged in culture and its rewards.  Acquiring art invariably augments that experience and conveys value to artists and society.  Expanding one’s horizons and experiences enriches the participants.

Do you (still) have feelings of insufficiency about walking into an art gallery?  That’s not going to happen any more.  You’re going to know as much – if not more – than the person who owns the gallery.

Klein Collector Works is a course that provides group sessions and one-on-one counseling to introduce collectors to powerful information and an array of the world’s top art professionals.

The course demystifies how the art world functions, from the very basics of where and how to get involved with art for the first time, to ways, reasons and motivation for collecting, to how to light, frame, exhibit art you’ve acquired.  The course includes  discussions about appraisals, donating, deaccessioning, insuring, buying from galleries, at auction and on the secondary market.  If you’ve got questions about any facet of the art world, we’ll get you the answer.

Paul Klein, the creator of the course, leads dynamic sessions with experts; curators, dealers, significant collectors, young collectors, artists, art consultants, auctioneers, art investment advisers - the whole gamut.  Paul Klein is a SupporTED Mentor for TED Fellows, writes for Huffington Post and ArtLetter and ran his own cutting edge, Chicago gallery, Klein Art Works, for 30 years.
